A Little of This and a Little of That
In order to try and keep the information flowing, here are a few small items for everyone’s consideration:
Summer Schedule. One of our members suggested that we have some extra 1 p.m. services in the summertime to save gasoline and time. The elders thought this was a great idea. Please mark your calendars for June 15th, June 29th (regular 5th Sunday), July 20, and August 17th. We plan to have a meal between the services for those who wish to stay, as a way to have more fellowship. Song Leaders. Please send your song selections to Anna Mullen by Friday at noon, so she can have them ready in Paperless Hymnal. This will help services flow more smoothly. Thanks to Phil Simco for arranging to have the carpets cleaned- they look so much better. Shut-Ins. There are several members whose health does not let them come to church. Please call them or send a card. Small Groups. If you are not attending one of our Spiritual Discussion Groups, please consider coming. There is a lot of learning and fellowship that is going on here, and I think they have been a blessing to those who have been attending.
The strength of a congregation is in its relationships. There is a place for everyone here, and we can always do more to meet and know more people. May God continue to bless this little piece of the Kingdom. (bob)
